Human Resources at The Rockefeller University handles academic appointments, staff recruitment, administration of benefits, administration and explanation of policies and procedures, affirmative action, employee relations, and immigration. Reporting to the Manager of Scientific Talent, the Associate partners with recruiters, departments, and hiring managers to provide a world-class Talent Acquisition experience and create a memorable candidate experience. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: assisting with full-cycle recruitment efforts, evaluating and screening resumes and cover letters, conducting interviews, facilitating the "matching" process for candidates and hiring managers, coordinating on-site interviews, and managing our ATS. Supports campus recruiting efforts including hosting info sessions, conducting interview days, and developing relationships with university career offices. Manages and schedules interviews throughout the recruitment process while coordinating travel and accommodations for possible candidates, as needed. Serves as a liaison between HR and various departments, creating employee engagement, and cultivating the unique Rockefeller culture. Posts job descriptions in the Applicant Tracking System, career websites, job boards, and university websites. Performs additional duties, and special projects as required.
A Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of related experience is required. Must be willing to travel to different locations, sites for recruitment, and career fairs. Must be highly proficient with computer applications, including Microsoft Suite. Familiarity with social media, especially LinkedIn, is necessary. Must be passionate about building connections and networking and have familiarity or interest in diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts in Human Resources. Excellent communication, organization, and writing skills are required. The ability to work efficiently and effectively and multi-task while maintaining attention to detail required. Must collaborate with humility and emotional maturity within a team dynamic and act with a sense of urgency, accountability, and ownership of responsibilities. The successful candidate must be flexible in nature, have sound judgment with a collaborative style that fosters teamwork and cooperation beyond the immediate team to the broader organization. Must have a passion for excellent customer service and commitment to exceptional quality. At least 2 years of experience with biomedical research, HR, recruiting, or a related discipline is preferred. Prior experience in higher education administration is preferred.
