Job Title Research Assistant
Laboratory / Department Laboratory of RNA Molecular Biology
We investigate the regulatory mechanisms of RNA interference, microRNA-mediated translational control, and RNA-guided chromatin modifications. Classical and combinatorial biochemical techniques are used to analyze the function of the RNA- and protein-components involved in those processes.
The Research Assistant will participate in a multi-disciplinary program focused on the development of orally available anti-viral drugs for the treatment of viruses with pandemic potential.
Bachelor's degree in science required; educational emphasis in chemistry and biochemistry preferred. Must be familiar with recombinant protein expression and purification, preparation of reagents, and other basic chemistry and molecular biology techniques. Experience using robotic liquid handling equipment preferred. Must have ability to work independently, as well as interact professionally and effectively in a collaborative work environment.
