Detailed Description

Reporting to the President, this position serves as a key member of the Office of the President (OoP) and, in close coordination with the Executive Assistant to the President, provides high-level administrative support to perform a diverse range of responsibilities. Responsibilities include but are not limited to working closely with the President and Executive Assistant to support all aspects of day-to-day operations. This role serves as an engaging front-facing member of the OoP. Manages and maintains the President's calendar using knowledge of the President's scope of responsibilities, priorities, and commitments. Needs to be proactive in anticipating needs and avoiding potential scheduling conflicts. The candidate arranges all travel in accordance with the President's preferences. Prepares travel itineraries and coordinates logistics with attention to detail. Collects and organizes all meeting materials for President's review. Schedules in-person and virtual meetings; arranges room setup and catering/audio-visual needs as necessary. Serves as contact for internal and external constituencies. Provides administrative support to President and others for matters related to President's research laboratory as needed. Restocks office equipment and supplies. Serves as backup to all members of the OoP team when necessary. Other projects and duties as assigned. Salary Range: $70,000 to $80,000.

Job Requirements

Must possess a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years of related experience. Prior experience in an academic or research institution is strongly preferred. Must be proficient in PC platforms, including MS Office Suite. Strong technical proficiency and quantitative skills are required. Strong writing and copy editing. Must have the discretion to handle confidential information. Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills and attention to detail are essential. The ideal candidate must be able to multi-task and work independently with a keen eye for customer service. Initiative, self-motivation, and attention to detail are critical.
